Having to travel to work does occasionally allow me to exercise in different venues. This week, I got a chance to go for a run in Charlotte, NC. It offers some pretty sights.
A Run In Charlotte
I make it a habit to try to run somewhere new whenever my work takes me to a new place, assuming its safe enough. This week, I spent a few days in the uptown area of Charlotte NC, so I managed to get in an early morning run in Marshall Park.

Now that I habitually carry my iPhone on my runs, I have the opportunity to snap some nice pics when I get the chance. You can see that the flowers are in full bloom, which probably explains why I was so congested. Between the trees and flowers blooming, my allergies were giving me fits.
You can also see the fountain in Marshall Park. What you don’t see here is the geese. When my loop took me down around the Marshall Park Fountain, apparently there was one goose that just didn’t like the way I looked. Something about being threatened by a goose just grates against my upbringing…
Unfortunately, my hotel’s workout room was more akin to a closet stuck somewhere in a dungeon, so I didn’t get much in by way of strength training. Just continued working on my progress to the Hundred Pushup Challenge, which I’ve taken the mantle of completing, yet again. This time I’ll stick with it.

I do this too!
It’s a great way to spice up a workout, isn’t it?
