An Experiment In Guest Posting

Josh Hanagarne, over at World’s Strongest Librarian, started an interesting experiment.  He was offering a guest post to any takers.  You propose a topic, and he would provide an article.  I thought the experiment was intriguing, as it offers bloggers the opportunity to connect in a very inspired way.  So, I shot him an idea for a post, and as promised, he provided an article.

After talking with him about it, I offered up one for him, which he was kind enough to accept.  I had never written a guest post for another blogger, and found it to be quite the fun experience.  So, I contacted a few bloggers and offered up a few others.  What I learned is that this is a great way to connect with fellow bloggers.  Below, you can find a list of recent guest posts I’ve done around the web.  I would encourage you to check out some of these other writers.

So, I’m offering up a free guest post to any takers.  You propose a topic, and I’ll provide a post.  Both of us benefits, as I’ll get a link back from your blog, and I’ll periodically publish a list of recent guest posts.  I’ll run this experiment through the end of November to see how it goes.

How This Works

Anything goes.  You provide me with a starting point, and I’ll do my best to provide the article.  Doing it this way proves that I’m writing an article tailored for you, and its a great method for building writing skills.  So, if you’re interested, you can contact me and provide:

  • Your Blog Title and URL
  • Name
  • Topic for the post
  • Proposed word count — 300-600 words generally works well for me

I think this will be a great way to connect and get to know other bloggers.  So, let’s have some fun and see what happens.
