Sucrose is not the same as sucralose... sucralose is Splenda. Sucrose is a natural sugar. Sucralose is chlorinated sugar molecules manufactured in a lab. I have been using Truvia since it came out months ago... I too hate artificial sweeteners and am finally glad to have a natural sweetener with no calories that doesn't give me headaches like artificial sweeteners do. I don't know what you mean by a bitter taste... Truvia is not at all bitter to me. I guess it's just a matter of taste.

I have some stevia and find it excellent. I use it in green tea and in lemonade. Haven't tried it in anything else yet.

Just wanted you to know that all stevia is not created equally. Try SweetLeaf & you may have a different take on it. Personally, I enjoy the liquid clear the best, but many of my friends and family love the packets & shakers. It's the best for taste and the best for your health.
